The 2012 BEGA Signup Sheet is now available (doc or pdf) ALL FUNCTIONS ARE HANDICAPPED (BY SIMILAR SKILL LEVEL) BEGINNERS ARE WELCOME - HANDICAPS WILL BE ESTABLISHED. Eligible golfers desiring to participate in any BEGA monthly tournament and/or league event must become a BEGA or Associate BEGA member. To join, complete the form with all requested data (please include home address and phone); sign and send with $25.00 for BEGA member or $30.00 for Associate BEGA member.

BEGA News and Info
- The May Tournament will be held at Point Mallard on the 19th. It will be a 4-person Shamble. Get your team together and send your ENTRY into Steve Ellzey.
- We played the April Tournament at Valley Landing April 21. This was a flighted two-person scramble. The results are posted here.
- The BEGA March Tournament was held under perfect weather conditions at Guntersville State Park on March 24. This tournament was a 4-person scramble with an 8:00AM shotgun start. The RESULTS have now been posted.
- The 2012 Leagues are now forming and to make sure that you have plenty of opportunities to get the winter rust off of your clubs, make sure that you contact the league presidents to join in on the fun.
- The Biloxi March 7 thru 11 tournament was a good outing. We stayed at the Hollywood Casino and played their course twice. The final results and payouts are now available.
- The 2012 BEGA Signup sheet is now available. Also, the 2012 "Travel'N'Golf News" and "From the President" messages have been updated below.
- Don't forget that each player is responsible for recording their own scores in the handicap system.

Travel'N'Golf NewsTo All BEGA golfers
Subject: Travel n Golf 2012
As most know, we only had one outing in 2011. In 2012, we are planning two events. The first will be in Biloxi the week of March 7 – 11 and the second event will be in Perdido Key Florida the week of Nov 4 – 11.
Almost all the courses have been contracted and the entry forms are ready and are posted with this message.
We are only going to have 5 days of organized golf in Biloxi but again will have 7 days of organized golf in Florida in November.
We will be staying at the Hollywood Casino hotel in March and at the Sandy Key condos in Florida in November. Suggest that you reserve your units in Florida soon so you get the units you like. They will fill again this year. Last year we had to go outside the reservation system to get enough units for all of us so it will be to your advantage to reserve what you like so you don’t have to take left overs later. Be sure to call in your reservation after you select what you like online because you will get a preferred rate when you call in.

Subject: President’s message for 2012
Welcome to the new season for golf. We had a great year last year and look forward to another in 2012.
Some good news in that Steve Ellzey has agreed to keep our books again this year and perform the VP duties as required. Ralph Thompson will continue to handle our secretarial duties and Rick Rush will keep us informed as our web site manager. This has been a great team and I am proud that they will continue the good work.
Steve will continue to organize and run the monthly tournaments as well as the weekend traveling league. Ralph and Harry Wiley will keep the most active league, the Tuesday league going. Good news is that George Williams has recovered from the health problems he had last year so our prayers have been answered. He will get involved with the Monday league and may still work with Dave Hall on this league. I am hoping that Larry Bryan will continue the Redstone league. Of course, I will continue the Travel n Golf group and have two trips planned for this year. We will go to Biloxi in March and again to Perdido Key in November.
We ended the year financially OK so we won’t have to increase the dues this year. The dues will be $25 for active employees and $30 for Associates. Boeing retirees will once more get a free pass.
Steve will soon announce the first tournament where we promote the membership drive. We look forward to your membership renewal.

Handicaps Each member is responsible for entering their scores into the Handicap System. Please keep up with your scores.
The Boeing Handicap System is now an "On Line System". The Oklahoma and Wichita clubs are also using our system.
